The End to a Great Season

This season of American Idol had its ups and downs. Many people went home early and in the begining it seemed like the top 6 would be all boys. But the season made a quick turn around after Pia got sent home.

As every Idol left the competition got tougher and tougher but two kids who seemed to be front runners stayed strong the whole time.

From auditions I had hoped Scotty and Lauren would make it to the finale, but starting off the show as a 15 year old and a 16 year old I thought both would never make it. I was wrong.

I would say this is the best season of talent American Idol ever had. We had the most diverse group of singers ever. And we ended up with two country artists....not that I'm complaining.

The top 13 first sang Born This Way. It was pretty good and fun. I always love when the top 13 perform together. Scotty and Lauren should date. They'd make a great couple. Ps get ready to here that a few more times...I'm keeping a Scotty and Lauren Love tab for the night.

James performed with Judas Priest. It was not bad...but It wasn't my favorite performance of the night so I am glad we got it out of the way pretty quick.

Then they showed a Randy montage....basically showing Randy isn't a very good judge. Unlike Simon who predicts a winner....Randy picks about 13 just to be safe.

Jacob performed with Kurt Franklin and Gladis Knight. Guess how I felt about this song? Wrong I actually enjoyed part of it besides the end. The beginning was kind of good and when all those singers came out.

Casey performing with Jack Black was HILARIOUS!!!

The ladies did a Beyonce mash-up. They all looked SMOKING!! The six of them should've started their own band. They even danced!! These girls should have dressed this hot all season and maybe they wouldn't have gone home 13th through 9th place. Take a hint from Haley next season girls. I will say this is probably the most attractive season of girls they have ever have. I am surprised we didn't see up one dress tonight. I was on crotch patrol because these ladies barely covered anything. Then Beyonce comes out! So far this is the best performance of the night. They finally got a modern artist. Did anyone else see that girl with the GIANT fro? I could build a nest and live inside that baby. I bet Jacob was mad that he didn't get to sing with Beyonce.

I laughed so hard all the way through the Steven montage. It was so funny. He is part of the life support Idol needed.

Next Haley sang with Tony Bennett. They clearly made her wear a longer dress so this old man didn't get a woody. I liked this performance she sounded good, it wasn't as fun as the girls or as Casey's but I guess you have to have some serious singing at some point.

Next was Jennifers time...it was basically a look about how much the contestants LOVED her....but who wouldn't love the most beautiful girl in the world.

Next we saw Lil John for like 2 seconds and TLC and the ladies again. I would have liked to see a little more Lil John personally. They were joined by Thia, Karen, Naima and Ashton. Ashton should join them and then they  can make a come back.

SCOTTY AND TIM MCGRAW!!! It was AMAZING! I think this is the best Scotty has sounded in a few weeks. Not much to say...I mean it was Tim Mcgraw so it was going to be good. Scotty is awkward performing with famous people.

Next we saw a montage of screw ups...and Marc Anthony

Then it was the battle of surprising elimination! James or Casey?!?! It was so funny and when Pia came out with her sash and crown. I love Pia. She was most shocking this season in my opinion.

Next the boy performed a mash-up of all kinds of hits. Stephano sounded better then ever. They all did really great then Tom Jones came out. It was good. Did anyone else see the screen with the lyrics in the back? Wasn't aware Idol was karaoke. Oh and the boys don't dance as good as the girls.

Then they had a ford music video to remember the past ones. It was good.

Then it was Lady GaGa, I don't really like this song but it was kind of enjoyable to watch...and its always fun to watch her fall of the cliff.

LAUREN AND CARRIE!!! BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGHT I LOVE CARRIE!!! She looked great and they sounded good. I love that the  most successful idol (just recently past Kelly) could come back but we couldn't get last years winner? did he have to much to do?Probably not. They probably didn't even invite him. Carrie and Lauren were so good together hopefully it wont be the last time we see them on the same stage together, but hopefully they will be excepting awards next time. Oh wait I just saw that loser  "Winner" in the audience.

I loved the contestants talking about how the "babies" are in the finale. It was hilarious.

ohhh great....Beyonce again....not really needed.

Then we saw spider man....it was okay I was hoping JLO would kiss him.

Watching Steven perform was AMAZING!!!!

Time for the results. Lauren and Scotty were clearly flirting. Who saw that tickle?

And the winner...of American idol.....2010 is.....SCOTTY!!! Is anyone surprised? A female with never win this show again. Hes little speech was adorable talking about Lauren ha. I always love watching the other idols behind the winner ha.

Scotty's song sounded much better tonight than on performance night. I love that he didn't give Jack Black a hug lol. Bt I must say it was the most lack luster winning performance ha. He shouldn't have walked off stage I wanted fireworks and confetti the whole time.

Well what and end to the show! Would have liked it a tiny bit more if Lauren won but since she did I am super stocked for Scotty. and country music.




So whats next for Reality with Reyn? do you think its over for the summer? NOPE! SYTYCD STARTS TONIGHT and I will start writing about the Voice after the battle rounds are over.

Season Finale

Well guys its been a long time coming and the competition has now come to an end, well for competing we do not know the results yet. The finale was amazing tonight but it almost wasn't the seem.

Just 30 minutes before the show a friend of mine, who also is an idol viewer, Kristin, sent me a link reporting that it is rumored that Lauren would be withdrawing from the finale because she has lost her voice. This seemed far out there but with a season like we have had where front runners seem to meet their untimely elimination it would almost be fitting that a front-runner would have to withdraw at the very moment they have all been fighting for.

If Haley did come back I fell like the drama would be huge! I honestly think that if Haley did come back she could've taken the whole show. Imagine what an underdog she'd be? And from what we've seen with the "Save" it wouldn't surprise me if she did win. Every contestant ever saved have made it past the following week, not even landing in the bottom 2. Luckily we will never know what would happen with Haley coming back. (I do love Haley, and I think shes had some of the best performances...but she's also had some bad ones)

Lauren came out and it turns out the story was somewhat true. She ended up doing something to her vocal cords. The drugged her up and she was ready to sing.

Scotty one the coin toss and let Lauren choose the order and she chose to sing second. Which probably was a good thing because her last song was a lot better than Scottys but we will get to that later.

The first round the contestants sang a song that they have already sang this season. I love the idea of this but its kinda boring, I'd almost rather them pick a new song.

Scotty sang "Gone"...it made me take back the thought of picking a new song. He did well the first time he sang this song but I believe he did way better this time. In the past few weeks I have been a little hard on Scotty but he brought that star quality back with this song.

Lauren picke "Flat on the Floor" from the same week Scotty sang gone. Now on paper I'd think Lauren would do better. After all I did think she did better during the top 5 week when they performed these (even thougth she landed herself in the bottom 2). But Scotty took his song and pushed it up a notch while Lauren left hers on the same level, still and amazing level, but it was a tiny bit below Scottys level.

Round 2 the contestants Idols pick the songs they will be singing. When this was announced I was excited thinking we'd see  some George Strait talking to Scotty and Carrie Underwood talking to Lauren. NOPE. Ryan just said they picked a song...I'm sure they did but its still kinda boring.

George picked one of this own songs "Check Yes or No" for Scotty to sing, this was a great choice...you can't really go wrong with George Strait but was I the only one who thought it was funny he picked one of his own songs? He did good, it was a good song for him.

Carrie picked "Maybe it was Memphis" for Lauren. This was a good song and it really showed the tone in her voice.

Round 2 Winner- Lauren

Now Jimmy Iovine picked the winners single. I miss the days when someone wrote them some cheesy song about winning and living in the moment and what not.

Scotty's song was "Love you This Big" it was not very good. It'd be a good 3rd or 4th single after a singer is established in the business but not a first single. Is the song a remake? It sounded familiar but I looked it up and couldn't find it.

Lauren sang a Kristy Lee Cook (Remember her? 7th place season 7? wasn't the best singer because she always picked a bad song unless it was about USA...a true American) cover "Like my Mother Does"....First of all I need to give Kristy some props because that song is REALLY good. Lauren blew it out of the water. If America has any since they will vote for her and she will win.

Scotty's song may be a remake I don't know...but if it's not then I don't think its fair that they wrote a song for him and Lauren just got a former Idols song.

Who do I think should win? LAUREN!!!

Who will probably win? I really don't know its so close but I think probably Scotty.

I love them both and hope they both have GREAT careers....but I just feel like Lauren earned it tonight.

COUNTRY FINALE!!!!!!

I'll do a quick recap then talk about the elimination.

Haley's going home video was okay, she had a lot of support in the rain...I know I would have gone out to see her. I would have gone out to see all those top 3.

Scottys was kinda sad, I bet he stole a lot of little girls hearts when he started to cry in the limo.

LAURENS WAS SO SAD!!!! When they showed her school and town all wrecked by those tornado's I got really sad and almost teary eyed. I'm glad she got to go back I should have drove up to see here but it looked like a mad house.

I am going to straight up say that I am so glad these 3 made the top 3 (I was also very happy that James was in the top 4 I just wish Pia made it a little farther). So there was no way I was going to be upset with tonight's vote....thought I will say that I probably would have been pissed if Lauren went home.

Scotty was the first person safe. This made me angry, I wanted Lauren to be safe first. Scotty just didn't do his best this week.

Lauren was announce to be going to finale!! I was thrilled. Country Finale!! AND one is from Georgia! It couldn't be better.

As much as I love Haley, and will still always be the first person you can find who will probably defend her, I am glad she went home. She made it a lot farther than anyone (including me) thought she would. I am proud of her and wish he the best. But come on...it can't get better then a country finale lol.

I'm not going to lie I am scared Scotty is going to win. I still kind of wish Haley was in the finale because I know Lauren could beat her lol

How to win Idol? Show your whooha

Top 3 Night! I am so glad my top 3 favorite made it to this point tonight, I am so nervous about who will go home. I wish it could be a top 3 finale.

Round 1

Scotty- He sang Amazed and frankly I was not amazed. Every time he got to a chorus I thought it was rather lame. He builds the song up then lets you down I feel.

Lauren- She sang Wild One, this was really fun and I always love when shes upbeat and happy.

Haley- She Sang What is and What Should Never Be. First of all she looked really hot throughout the whole show. She sang it great and it was a stars performance. I thought it was weird that her Dad was playing guitar but if they didn't say anything I never would have know. I don't care if the fall was rehearsed or not, it was guiness. Plus Steven got to see his 1 billionth vagina tonight. Haley isn't stupid she knows how to pull votes.

Round 2-

Scotty- He sang Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not. It was great. He really did a lot better then his first performance.

Lauren- She Sang If I Die Young. This song is one of my favorites, I can even play it on the piano. She did it justice even if she messed up a bit it gave it character and I think she did great.

Haley- She sang Rhiannon. It was kind of a lackluster performance she sounded good but didn't do justice to the song she could have done better. But lets mute the tv for a minute because that wind!! DAMN GIRL!!! She just needed her dress to be raised a few inches and she probably would have won the show tonight.

Round 3- The Round that Counts.

Scotty- He sang She Believes in Me. Well Scotty she might but I don't. It wasn't that good. Once again I found the choruses to be bad again.

Lauren- She sang I hope You Dance. and I hope shes in the finale! It was GREAT!!!!

Haley- She sang You Oughta Know. When I found out she was singing this I knew she'd blow it out of the water, she was great it looked ike it was her show.

I'm going to give a quick overview of the contestants.

I have loved Scotty this whole season, but he doesn't always sing every song well, his voice is only suited for songs that stay low because in my opinion he doesn't raise his pitch high enough so in a lot of songs he sounds bad in the chorus (bad being compared to the rest of the song). When Scotty chooses a song he sounds great because he is clearly comfortable with it but tonight just wasn't his night.

Lauren needs some confidence. I love her and hope she wins it all but she needs to get there first and I hope she makes it there! I hope she makes it and brings everything she has to finale because she will need to if she wants to win. I think shes all around the best singer and needs to realize that herself.

Haley is a star, she owns the stage when shes on it. I think shes hot and she can definitely sing and I love the rasp she has in her voice.

I really hope Scotty goes home, if he doesn't I hope its (sadly) Haley. I am hoping Lauren will win this whole thing.

Survivor Finale

The finale was 3 hours long all together! So I have a lot to cover!

We started off with the Redemption Island Duel. Grant, Mike, Matt and Andrea were all up against each other and it was basically who could hold their leg up the longest. Grant went first, this surprised me because I thought he would at least last longer then Mike. Matt went next, after almost a month in Redemption I was glad to see him go. Frankly I would have been happy with either Mike or Andrea winning it but I was super happy with Andrea won.

I think it was good that a girl finally beat ALL the boys, because it showed that Redemption Island can be won by a girl, even if it is just one badass girl.

So Andrea joined Ashley, Natalie, Phillip and Rob in the top five. Rob decided that Ashley needed to go first if she didn't win. During the challenge it was basically between Rob, Ashley and Andrea. Ashley ended up winning.

Let me just say for the record because my last blog got deleted por messed up or something. I LOVE Ashley. I didn't think she would do good at all and the last weeks of this game she has won 2 weeks in a row right when she has needed to win. Its honestly like she planned to fly under the radar and pull up towards the end

Andrea tried to get the girls to betray Rob, but they knew he had the idol and trusted him so sadly Andrea went home.

So now for the top 4 they had to do a maze and then climb a pyramid thing and then work on a puzzle. Ashley got up first (I think I could be wrong I don't remember correctly) then Rob made it up. Ashley was ahead up him at first and it looked like she got all the words but Rob pulled out the win. Poor Ashley she almost had a spot in the finale, and she actually would have been a threat to Rob unlike Phillip and Natalie.

So for the finale Rob got everyone votes except Ralph who voted for Phillip. The finale was okay, I could have heard less from Russel and more from some other contestants but w/e.

They showed a preview for the next season and redemption island is back along with 2 contestants. It looked to me like Andrea was back, I would love to see Andrea and Matt back because they were the two people who actually made it out of Redemption Island.

Well that's the end of survivor for this season! Kind of makes you wonder how the game would have gone without Rusell and Rob?

Can Steven Tyler see the future?

This weeks result show was one of the saddest, I have loved these 4 for a long time and it was sad to see one of them go.

Scotty and James sang "Start a Band" first and it was good, but James already started a band...and Scotty was in it.

Haley and Lauren sang "Gunpowder and Lead" which was a really good song choice for the two of them.

Lauren was the first person safe and moving on to the Top 3 (and going home to see her family). I am super happy for her. She did great last night and really needed to not be in the bottom 2.

Then we got to see a load of guest performers...that out of lack of interest I am not going to talk about.

The next person to safe, and maybe a shock to everyone...was Haley. Now I know that I said I thought Haley and Lauren would be in the bottom...it kind of made since being that Scotty and James hadn't been.

But this is actually what I wanted...I had said OVER AND OVER again that James is a fourth place finisher.

This is the first time in a while where 2 girls have been in the top 3.

James ended up going home. Sad day.
