The Voice Finale!

Okay this will be a pretty quick post, sorry I have been MIA for the past two weeks. I probably could have (and should have) blogged while on vacation but I didn't it was a nice little break. This is how I will catch up on all the series that are still running right now. I will do a quick recap the day I write about the new episode. But since The Voice is over I will write about it.

Performance Episode:

Javier- Stitch by Stitch. I really didn't like this song very much, he did a good job singing it but it wasn't a very good song in my opinion.

Dia & Blake- I won't Back Down. I loved this performance they did so well together.

Vicci- Afraid To Sleep. It wasn't a bad song I actually kind of liked it.

Beverly and Christina- Beautiful. They had to sing this song because Christina is likely to forget the lyrics if she sings a song that isn't hers. It was really good.

Dia- Inventing Shadows. I really did like this song and I think she did a good job singing it.

Javier and Adam- Man in the Mirror. It was good.

Beverly- Love Sick. It was good at first then it was kind of like "oh can't think of anything else to say but love sick?"

Vicci & Cee Lo- Love is a Battle Field. IT was a great performance it was fun and good!

Here is my list on how everyone did in their original songs, factoring how much I liked the song as well because they all sang them good.

I really didn't like Javier's song.

I thought Javier would win, but I did hope it would be Dia.

In the finale they all performed with someone. Vicci with Patrick Monahan, Beverly with Ryan Tedder. Javier got to performed with Stevie Nicks which is one of the coolest things ever, he is so lucky. Dia performed with Miranda Lambert and it was also AMAZING!!

Javier and Dia were the top 2, there votes only separated by 2%. Dia was number 1 on itunes and Javier number 2 so it was a really close battle which I thought was good and Javier won.

Honestly I am so happy for the dude, he is a great guy and an awesome singer. I hope all 4 of them do well.

Sorry this post was kind of crappy, its been 2 weeks and I am kind of out of my "Voice Mood" ha.

I heard that next season we will have more auditions and a longer show so that will be good.

The Voice Semi-Finales! And a Shocker!

Sorry this is a bit late, the power went out yesterday so I wasn't able to blog about Tuesday nights performance show. But I will blog about both episodes right now.

Cee Lo's team results. Vicci Martinez won the public vote. Cee Lo picked Nakia as his other team member. I am sad to see the Thompsons go but at the same time Cee Lo does have his two best members and I am happy for them!

Adam's team went right after that. With no surprise Javier Colon won the public vote. Adam's choice seemed like it would be an easy one, he'd pick Jeff Jenkins right? Wrong. He picked Casey Weston. Ok I love Casey, but honestly I loved Jeff more...I think everyone did right? Jeff's talent was undeniable!!! I was so upset about this. Adam definietly put Casey into the underdog position....sorry Xenia.

After the results we got started on the performances.

Frenchie- Like a Prayer. I really liked this, I think Frenchie did well, but I feel like she isn't living up to the big voice she has...and I think that is partly because of the song choice she has been given. Really Xtina? Give her something big to work with!!!

Nakia- Whatya Want From Me. WOW, his talent is amazing!! I love his voice. He has skills. I even forgot it was an Adam Lambert song...he made it his own

Dia- Losing My Religion. This was one of my favorites of the night. I think Dia can do no wrong (knock on wood). She is very artistic and creative and I think she may be a dark horse. She could pull out a W.

Casey- I will Always Love You. Really? Why would you make her sing this song!!! She has a great voice, but it isn't a Whitney (Or Dolly) voice. She should have sang something like Alanis Morrisette or Janis Joplin. She reminds me a lot of Haley Reinhart.

Beverly- The Thrill is Gone. The thrill was gone, she performed it well but it wasn't a memorable performance for me.

Javier- Fix You. Do I need to bother? How do you think he did?  He could sing the damn phone book and it would sound good. He was great and finally took off the damn hat!!!

Xenia- The Man Who Can't Be Moved. BAD SONG CHOICE!!! but better then last week I suppose. She did well I was pleasantly surprised. I would have made her sing some Regina Spektor or something but w/e.

Vicci- Dog Days Are Over. I love it, I think she sounded well but when she was playing hte drums I think it distracted from her full singing abilities.

If you read my facebook status, you'd have seen my picks to be Dia, Javier, Vicci, and Beverly. I was correct.

I did vote finally. I voted for Dia because I thought Blake might try to give Xenia an advantage and I voted for Casey...because she's kind of pretty and I didn't want her to get creamed to bad.




Results Night.


After listening to Obama for about 20 minutes we got on with the show.


The 4 people moving on go into the finale next week. I think it should have been 4 out of all 8 people and not just 1 person from each team. But its not my show.

Cee Low Green's team went first. He Gave Vicci 49 points and Nakia 51. But America gave Vicci 75 and Nakia 25. So Vicci went on for Cee Lo's team. I think both of these people should have been in the finale.

Adam's team was next. He gave Javier 65 and Casey 35. He explained that he wanted to make sure talent like Javier made it to the finale. I personally think that is really stupid. The coaches should believe in their team mates and be fine with whoever make its. I felt really bad for Casey, because he basically said he didn't believe she could win. But he did Swear to God that she'd make it in the industry so I do think he cares about it, I jus thought it was dumb he'd rank one so much higher then the other when they both did well last night. It almost makes me think that he didn't put Jeff to the next round because he didn't want Javier to have compitition. Well Adam didn't really need to do anything because America (rightfully so) gave Javier 73 and Casey 27.  It surprised me that Casey did a little better against JAvier then Nakia did to Vicci.

Blake's team was up and I was a bit nervous about them. What was Blake going to do with his points? Well he said he believed in both of the girls and gave them 50 each. It was up to America (how it probably should be in this stage) Dia got 56 and Xenia 44. This was a lot closer than I imagined it to be but I am happy little Xenia has some support aout thier.

Last but not least Christina's team was up. She also have the girls 50 each so it'd be up to America again. America gave Bev 57 and Frenchie 43.


All in all I think the best people from each team made it to the finale, even if their were some casualties along the way.

The Voice Shocker!!

I will start off with the results even though they did Christina's team at the beginning and Blake's at the end.

They announced that Beverly McClennan had received the public vote for Christina's team, I am not sure if anyone was surprised by this or not. She is a star and can win it all. Then Christina talked about everyone and she choose Frenchie. Also not a shocked these are the two Xtina really needed to have a chance at winning. I also think Christina has a thing for baldies. She had an all girl team with no hair.

Then comes to Blakes results. Dia was announced to have received the public vote. This doesn't really surprise me at all because after looking at itunes she was highest up (almost in the top 10) on the top 100 chart. Blake seemed pissed! He clearly didn't want Dia to be left but she did amazing and I think she probably had one of the biggest fan bases beside Javier. He had a tough choice left, it seemed like the smartest thing for him to do would be to choose one of the two boys. But Blake is in love with little Xenia and he thinks he can mold her into a star and he chose her. I think both boys (and most of the audience) were shocked at this....frankly I am shocked that we have two all female teams.

I think this is bad for the other girls who are on Adams and Cee Los teams. I love Taylor and Tori, Vicci and Casey so much but I feel like there chances (excluding Vicci) all seem a bit lower because of the amount of girls who are already in the top 8. Now I don't think this show has any kind of gender based voting so they still have as much of a public chance, and maybe even a small chance to be picked by their coaches...especially Vicci.

That being said I do think Cee Lo and Adam both have bomb teams so if these girls don't get picked by their coaches it will be because someone has more talent and not based on gender.

Another thing I may have mention but want to throw out there again, I wish they send 4 people home randomly and it was all Americas vote and it was just 2 people from each team. Some teams have SO MUCH talent.

Anyway it is time for the show!!

Tori and Taylor- Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. It was hot, fun and all around a great performance. I love these two and always have but I am not sure they are strong enough singers to make it to the next round. I think they would have a better shot as individuals then as a group. I think if this show was longer they could probably squeeze by another week or two but with half their team being cut next week I am sad to say they may go :(

Casey Weston- Black Horse in a Cherry Tree. I love Casey, I wasn't sure about her at the start of the show and I think she came out and blew everyone away during the battle round. I didn't expect her to be that amazing during the lives but she brought out her guitar and wowed me. It was really good. like the Thompson sisters I feel if this was a different show Casey would stick around longer but with the format and the amount of talent on her team I feel she may go home.

Vicci Martinez- Jolene. I wouldn't have chose this song for her but I loved it. Vicci could sing the phone book and I'd love it. I am not sure if she will get the popular vote but I definitely think we will be seeing more of her on this show.

Devon Barley- Stop and Stare. Oh Devon, I wasn't sure how much I liked you during battle round but you really did well and I thought you earned your win against someone who seemed to be the obvious winner. Alas I do not think you are ready to be a singer, at least not with this song. During the chorus I just felt you weren't giving it your all and you didn't do the song justice.

Nakia- Sex on Fire. I am not on the Nakia band wagon. I will take nothing from him or his performance though, he was great and always had been. BUT I think theres plenty of singers who are as good and better then he is but he got a lot of attention for singing a Cee Lo song. that being sad I think he did amazing as always and he is sure to be in the next round.

Jeff Jenkins- Jesus, Take the Wheel. I love Jeff, I think he is a great singer and I think he is a great person. I think the rest of America will love him also. Represent for us guys that have a little extra cushion.

Curtis Grimes- Addicted to Love. I think Cee Lo might have made a bad song choice for him, or maybe he made a bad contestant choice in him but I did not like this very much. I think he hold little chance of making it.

Javier Color- Angel. I am starting to get use to the sideways hat, only because he'd look weird without it. Could he have sang a sadder song? I hated it...all I could think about was sick and injured puppies. But I suppose if I had never seen that commercial I'd say he did AMAZING!!!!!!!! When I checked he was in the top 11 on itunes hot 100 and I will guarantee hes in the top 8.

The Voice, Xtina vs Blake

Okay for this episode of the voice I was really excited because I thought we were going to be able to see all 16 people sing. FAIL. I love The Voice and I love the talent but I feel like they are dragging this on a bit...I wish they would havem ore then one episode a week..its getting ridiculous. I really think they should have had all 16 performing and not eliminate them but team I wish America voted and the person/people with the least amount leave...even if it did leave Christina with just Beverly.

Anyway enough complaining. Time to get down to it.

Raquel Castro- Blow. Literally it blowed...or is it blew? She needs to act her age and stop dancing around. The coaches seemed to like it but honestly I feel its because they saw her vagina. That dress was so short.

Jared Blake- Use Somebody. Literally I would have been shocked if he didn't do good with this song. He was amazing and I am starting to rethink how I view him...everyone is entitled to mistakes right?

Beverly McClellan- I'm the Only One. I really liked this! Shes amazing.

Dia Frampton- Heartless. This was one of my favorites of the evening. I am really pulling for Dia I love her. She looks so sweet but shes now.

Xenia- Price Tag. I love her, I love her voice...and would probably buy an album of hers but I can guarantee you that I would not go see her concert. She isn't a performer just yet shes just a unique singer.

Lily Elise- Big Girls Don't Cry. I hate this song, and I am really hoping to like Lily but just not sure yet. She did do good though.

Patrick Thomas- I Hope You Dance. This song is over sang I think lol. We heard it to much on idol last season. I think he did it well but he didn't come out and wow me.

Frenchie Davis- When Love Takes Over. It was good, I wasn't THAT impressed. I kind of expected more. I feel like every time I see her I expect more then I get.

Blake- Jared and either Dia or Patrick (though he clearly loves Xenia)


I guess I will talk a big about the group performances. I loved the Queen Medley. I thought Christina's group song was all about her. Blake's was hilarious that he sang a Maroon 5 song.

The Voice Battle Round

As promised here is my Thew Voice blog about battle round. I'll basically just tell you who I think should have one, and who I think was robbed. I will bold the winner.

Frenchie vs Tarralyn - I wanted Tarralyn to win, just because it seemed like Frenchie has had her chance with things, sure Idol screwed her but she was on Broadway right? Well I think Frenchie did a good job and deserved it I just feel bad for a Tarralyn...but she did seem kind of bitchy. (Xtina)

Patrick Thomas vs Tyler Robinson- I wanted Patrick to win and he did. I think they both did fairly well. (Blake)

Casey Weston vs Tim Mahoney- I wanted Casey to win but I wasn't sure if she was good enough to win...I just think Tim seemed kind of stuck up. I think America Casey will do okay she probably won't win though and exit in the middle. (Adam)

Niki Dawson vs Vicci Martinez- Cee Lo is so dumb, both of these girls should have been in the lives. I think he made the best choice by picking Vicci, who is one of my favorites, but Niki should be there too. (Cee Lo)

Nakia vs Tje Austin- This was kind of obvious...I don't think Tje really had much of a chance. I wanted Nakia to win. (Cee Lo)

Elenowen vs Jared Blake- I loved Elenowen and hoped they would win, sadly they didn't. I think Jared Blake did good but I am still worried about his choices of song after his first audition (Blake)

Angela Wolff vs Javier Colon- This was another one of those battles where one person really didn't have a chance. I kind of wanted Angela to win but didn't expect it because Javier is amazing...I don't like that he wears his hat sideways...pet peeve (Adam)

Beverly vs Justin Grennan- Poor Justin, did he really have a chance? I liked him a lot better then a lot of Xtinas team. But Beverly should (and did) win. I wanted Bev to win so it wasn't that big of a disappointment. (Xtina)

Raquel Castro vs Julia Eason- The first battle that I was really mad about the outcome...Raquel isn't as good.. she acts like shes way older then she is but she doesn't sound like it. (Xtina)

Dia Frampton vs Serabee- Serabee was so annoying I wanted Dia to win and was so relieved when she did. (Blake)

Rebecca Loebe vs Devon Barley- I was thinking and kind of hoping Rebecca would win. I have had the chance to talk with her and shes very nice and talented...but Devon really surprised me...their performance was great and I think Adam would gain a good team member either way. (Adam)

Kelsey Rey vs Taylor and Tori- I want The Thompson sister to win, I have loved them since American Juniors. Sorry Kelsey maybe you were just to pretty for this...(Cee Lo)

Jeff Jenkins vs Casey Desmond- I was interested to see how Casey would do, and I was pleasantly surprised but I am glad Jeff won. (Adam)

Xenia Martinez vs Sara Oromchi- I like Xenia but I kind of like Sara too, I think Sara may have had more confidence it seemed Xenia messed but a few notes but I love her tone and am glad she won. (Blake)

Cherie Oakley vs Lily Elise- I wanted Cherie to win...but Lily did great and I think could be a star. (Xtina)

Emily Valentine vs Curtis Grimes- I really enjoyed this and wish they could both be in the end the little couple lol. I think they were vastly different and Curtis kinda of had a home field advantage and he came out on top. (Cee Lo)
