Survivor Finale

The finale was 3 hours long all together! So I have a lot to cover!

We started off with the Redemption Island Duel. Grant, Mike, Matt and Andrea were all up against each other and it was basically who could hold their leg up the longest. Grant went first, this surprised me because I thought he would at least last longer then Mike. Matt went next, after almost a month in Redemption I was glad to see him go. Frankly I would have been happy with either Mike or Andrea winning it but I was super happy with Andrea won.

I think it was good that a girl finally beat ALL the boys, because it showed that Redemption Island can be won by a girl, even if it is just one badass girl.

So Andrea joined Ashley, Natalie, Phillip and Rob in the top five. Rob decided that Ashley needed to go first if she didn't win. During the challenge it was basically between Rob, Ashley and Andrea. Ashley ended up winning.

Let me just say for the record because my last blog got deleted por messed up or something. I LOVE Ashley. I didn't think she would do good at all and the last weeks of this game she has won 2 weeks in a row right when she has needed to win. Its honestly like she planned to fly under the radar and pull up towards the end

Andrea tried to get the girls to betray Rob, but they knew he had the idol and trusted him so sadly Andrea went home.

So now for the top 4 they had to do a maze and then climb a pyramid thing and then work on a puzzle. Ashley got up first (I think I could be wrong I don't remember correctly) then Rob made it up. Ashley was ahead up him at first and it looked like she got all the words but Rob pulled out the win. Poor Ashley she almost had a spot in the finale, and she actually would have been a threat to Rob unlike Phillip and Natalie.

So for the finale Rob got everyone votes except Ralph who voted for Phillip. The finale was okay, I could have heard less from Russel and more from some other contestants but w/e.

Andrea was my season favorite.

They showed a preview for the next season and redemption island is back along with 2 contestants. It looked to me like Andrea was back, I would love to see Andrea and Matt back because they were the two people who actually made it out of Redemption Island.

Well that's the end of survivor for this season! Kind of makes you wonder how the game would have gone without Rusell and Rob?

This weeks result show was one of the saddest, I have loved these 4 for a long time and it was sad to see one of them go.

Scotty and James sang "Start a Band" first and it was good, but James already started a band...and Scotty was in it.

Haley and Lauren sang "Gunpowder and Lead" which was a really good song choice for the two of them.

Lauren was the first person safe and moving on to the Top 3 (and going home to see her family). I am super happy for her. She did great last night and really needed to not be in the bottom 2.

Then we got to see a load of guest performers...that out of lack of interest I am not going to talk about.

The next person to safe, and maybe a shock to everyone...was Haley. Now I know that I said I thought Haley and Lauren would be in the bottom...it kind of made since being that Scotty and James hadn't been.

But this is actually what I wanted...I had said OVER AND OVER again that James is a fourth place finisher.

This is the first time in a while where 2 girls have been in the top 3.

James ended up going home. Sad day.

I imagined writting more on this post....but my posts have been deleted.....idk what happened Blogger was messing up yesterday so maybe my more recent posts dissapeared.

So I will start of this post by saying that Lady Gaga cracks me up and I gained more respect from her tonight.

First round!

James- He sang Don't Stop Believing. Finally our old James is back, this was really good and a stellar performance. He is in it to win it but I didn't feel that extra drive looking back with this song. I didn't feel the emotion/inspiration.

Haley- She sang Earth Song. Bad choice of song, I guess she sounded kind of okay, I didn't think she was exactly screaming. I felt that she really loved the song though...which...I mean I don't know what to say about that I don't see why you'd love it that much. Not her best performance but I wouldn't say it was her worst. Randy really dogged on her, and not in the good way. I really think he went over board and I am glad she stood up for herself. I respect what JLO said to her but I feel like Randy dogs on Haley a lot more then what she deserves so I am glad she said something.

Scotty- Sang Where were you (when the world stopped turning). I like it, he sounded great! Scotty is a star. I didn't feel that star quality he usually has but it was was all around amazing. It may just be because there are so few left that he doesn't stand out as much as he use to because they all stand out in their own ways.

Lauren- She sang Anyway. I loved this performance and I think Lauren really got back that star quality she was lacking in the past few weeks. It was perfect for all that is going on in the south and a great song for her.

Round 2. BING BING BING

GAGA was their mentor and I think she brought out the best in them because I think round 2 was way better.

Haley- She sang I (Who have nothing). Haley had nothing going for her this episode until she sang this song I thought it was really good! It really sucks that Haley isn't able to make 2 good song choices in one week, though I guess towards the beginning she couldn't even make one good choice so she has improved.

Scotty- He sang Young Blood, I had fun with it. I liked that he held his microphone the correct way most of the time. I liked it but I don't think it was Scottys best performance but it was really good.

Lauren- She sang Trouble and this is the most fun I think Lauren has had in a long time. During Hollywood she seemed like one of the more fun contestants but as the weeks went on she never really did to much fun on stage.

James- He sang Love Potion No. 9. Now this is the something James was missing in his first performance. He backed his great voice up with the fire it needed! amazing!!!

Predictions:

I think Scotty should probably go home after tonight but it will probably be Haley and Lauren in the bottom two, with Haley going home.

I would like James to go home this week only because I think he'd follow in Daughtrys footsteps nicely. I don't think he needs to win because it would probably just damper his career.

I'd like Haley to stay because I feel like the producers HATE her. So many people HATE her. But as a loyal Haley fan I love her. But I am still Lauren for the win!!

Season Finale.

Well as you all know the amazing race season finale was this past sunday night. I had to wait to update to make sure Suz didn't come peek and see who won.

The 4 remaining teams went to Brazil. Gary and Mallory basically led the way during this leg. They had to do a Dance. Mallory did good. Zev sucked at it. Then they all went to get waxed. Watching Zev and Justin get waxed was HILARIOUS!!

Then they all made 100 drinks and Gary and Mallory finished first, Kiesha and Jen second and the Globes third.

Sadly Zev and Justin were sent home (or to miami with everyone else rather). But they were a good compition so this was better for Mallory and Gary.

Unfortunatly it was very clear from the begining that Gary and Mallory were going to loose. They had a TERRIBLE taxi driver. They first task they had to move a boat which looked pretty easy and noone really had a problem with it. Then they had to find a clue underwater in treasure chests and there were mermaids. Everyone did pretty good finding them but it seemed like Mallory found hers fastest

Next they had to go find some clues and after that they had to set up a trailer park home. The Globes and Kiesha and Jen kind of had dificulty doing this. Gary and Mallory caught up to them and moved pretty quick. But Keisha and Jen quickly finished fallowed soon after by the Globes

they had a 7 mile bike on a tricycle to the finish line. It was clear that as long as Keisha and Jen didn't stop they could win. And they did.

I was happy they won because I didn't want the globe trotters to but I was sad that Gary and Mallory lost, but they won losts of cool things and they got to make it to the finish like so that is good.

Congrats on a good season!

First Timer

Okay so I'll do a quick recap of last night and tonight.

James- First song he sang Closer to the Edge. I didn't really like it, it didn't catch my attention and I didn't think it was that good. Then he sang Without You, this was ALOT better but it still wasn't James A-game. It wasn't the best version of that song by any means. He isn't one of those people who can cry and sing.

Jacob-sucked. Glad hes gone. Not wasting my time on him.

Lauren- First song was Flat on the Floor. It was amazing! She nailed it!! I loved it Lauren has got her groove back. Her second song was Unchained Melody. I liked it but wish she would have gone for that high note which I swear was there (Iovine confirmed that she didn't go for it like I thought).

Scotty- Gone was his first song and it was fun and great. His next song was Always on my Mind, it was good except the chorus was kind of a let down.

Haley- Took a risk and Sang an unreleased Gaga song "You and I". Honestly she got Gaga's blessing and yeah it was a risk and wasn't the best song but given the opportunity I would have done it too and I am not really even a gaga fan. Her second song blew everyone out of the water. She sang the House of the Raising Sun. I love Haley and I always have and this is why.

So here was my prediction for bottom 2

Jacob and James.

On Elimination night They Split them into groups. James and Haley then Jacob and Lauren. Scotty was safe. It was clear Jacob and Lauren would be the bottom three I dont think Lauren should have been in it and I was so worried but am glad she is safe and am glad Jacob is gone.

Scotty dropped a spot because I don't really want him to win. I'd like it to be a girl who wins. Don't get me wrong I love James and Scotty I just think AI needs a girl. Plus James will do way better if he doesn't win just like Daughtry.


On a different note I didn't watch last season but has Lee Dewyze done anything yet? I am starting to think hes worse then Hicks. I did see the finale and though he was good though I must say I have heard Bowersox's cd and think maybe she should have won.

If you can't take the heat, get out of the freezer.

This week on the race they have to go to the top of the mountain and the helicopter leaves in 5 minute intervals. Mallory and Gary were the only ones to really jump a spot by this point, the went from 4th to 3rd jumping in front of Kent and Vyxsin who can't get a taxi.

They either had to Search or Rescue. Zev and Justin and Gary and Mallory decided to search while everyone else went to rescue. All of the rescuers seemed to finish first, though Gary and Mallory showed up to the train station before on of the other 3 teams.

Zev and Justin were the only ones who didn't make the same train. They had to make a chocolate travelocity gnome. Vyxsin stole the Globetrotters gnome mold. Or that's who everyone thinks did it but it didn't slow them down.

The Globetrotters finished first followed by Jen and Keshia. Gary and Mallory came in third.

Kent and Vyxsin showed up 4th but had a penalty for taking a taxi. Zev and Justin made it just in time to clench the 4th spot staying alive.

Shocker

As many of my readers know I am not the biggest Casey Abrams fan but last Thursday night I was in shock that he went home.

Was I upset? Not really. Casey had a large fan base and I didn't want him to win so might as well take him out at number 6.

Lets see I honestly don't remember much about that night except that Casey Jacob and Scotty were in the bottom which I was honestly surprised about. I was really scared when Scotty was in the bottom two (I can't remember correctly but did Ryan say if they were actually the bottom two or was he still doing the random order thing?)

Anyway Casey went home. At that point I was hoping he'd go so Scotty could stay.

Casey probably had the best exit performance in the history of idol, even though he probably caused a few cases of whip-lash. It made my heart melt when he went over to Haley ha. Guess Idol lost there "couple" of the season.
