The End to a Great Season

This season of American Idol had its ups and downs. Many people went home early and in the begining it seemed like the top 6 would be all boys. But the season made a quick turn around after Pia got sent home.

As every Idol left the competition got tougher and tougher but two kids who seemed to be front runners stayed strong the whole time.

From auditions I had hoped Scotty and Lauren would make it to the finale, but starting off the show as a 15 year old and a 16 year old I thought both would never make it. I was wrong.

I would say this is the best season of talent American Idol ever had. We had the most diverse group of singers ever. And we ended up with two country artists....not that I'm complaining.

The top 13 first sang Born This Way. It was pretty good and fun. I always love when the top 13 perform together. Scotty and Lauren should date. They'd make a great couple. Ps get ready to here that a few more times...I'm keeping a Scotty and Lauren Love tab for the night.

James performed with Judas Priest. It was not bad...but It wasn't my favorite performance of the night so I am glad we got it out of the way pretty quick.

Then they showed a Randy montage....basically showing Randy isn't a very good judge. Unlike Simon who predicts a winner....Randy picks about 13 just to be safe.

Jacob performed with Kurt Franklin and Gladis Knight. Guess how I felt about this song? Wrong I actually enjoyed part of it besides the end. The beginning was kind of good and when all those singers came out.

Casey performing with Jack Black was HILARIOUS!!!

The ladies did a Beyonce mash-up. They all looked SMOKING!! The six of them should've started their own band. They even danced!! These girls should have dressed this hot all season and maybe they wouldn't have gone home 13th through 9th place. Take a hint from Haley next season girls. I will say this is probably the most attractive season of girls they have ever have. I am surprised we didn't see up one dress tonight. I was on crotch patrol because these ladies barely covered anything. Then Beyonce comes out! So far this is the best performance of the night. They finally got a modern artist. Did anyone else see that girl with the GIANT fro? I could build a nest and live inside that baby. I bet Jacob was mad that he didn't get to sing with Beyonce.

I laughed so hard all the way through the Steven montage. It was so funny. He is part of the life support Idol needed.

Next Haley sang with Tony Bennett. They clearly made her wear a longer dress so this old man didn't get a woody. I liked this performance she sounded good, it wasn't as fun as the girls or as Casey's but I guess you have to have some serious singing at some point.

Next was Jennifers time...it was basically a look about how much the contestants LOVED her....but who wouldn't love the most beautiful girl in the world.

Next we saw Lil John for like 2 seconds and TLC and the ladies again. I would have liked to see a little more Lil John personally. They were joined by Thia, Karen, Naima and Ashton. Ashton should join them and then they  can make a come back.

SCOTTY AND TIM MCGRAW!!! It was AMAZING! I think this is the best Scotty has sounded in a few weeks. Not much to say...I mean it was Tim Mcgraw so it was going to be good. Scotty is awkward performing with famous people.

Next we saw a montage of screw ups...and Marc Anthony

Then it was the battle of surprising elimination! James or Casey?!?! It was so funny and when Pia came out with her sash and crown. I love Pia. She was most shocking this season in my opinion.

Next the boy performed a mash-up of all kinds of hits. Stephano sounded better then ever. They all did really great then Tom Jones came out. It was good. Did anyone else see the screen with the lyrics in the back? Wasn't aware Idol was karaoke. Oh and the boys don't dance as good as the girls.

Then they had a ford music video to remember the past ones. It was good.

Then it was Lady GaGa, I don't really like this song but it was kind of enjoyable to watch...and its always fun to watch her fall of the cliff.

LAUREN AND CARRIE!!! BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGHT I LOVE CARRIE!!! She looked great and they sounded good. I love that the  most successful idol (just recently past Kelly) could come back but we couldn't get last years winner? did he have to much to do?Probably not. They probably didn't even invite him. Carrie and Lauren were so good together hopefully it wont be the last time we see them on the same stage together, but hopefully they will be excepting awards next time. Oh wait I just saw that loser  "Winner" in the audience.

I loved the contestants talking about how the "babies" are in the finale. It was hilarious.

ohhh great....Beyonce again....not really needed.

Then we saw spider man....it was okay I was hoping JLO would kiss him.

Watching Steven perform was AMAZING!!!!

Time for the results. Lauren and Scotty were clearly flirting. Who saw that tickle?

And the winner...of American idol.....2010 is.....SCOTTY!!! Is anyone surprised? A female with never win this show again. Hes little speech was adorable talking about Lauren ha. I always love watching the other idols behind the winner ha.

Scotty's song sounded much better tonight than on performance night. I love that he didn't give Jack Black a hug lol. Bt I must say it was the most lack luster winning performance ha. He shouldn't have walked off stage I wanted fireworks and confetti the whole time.

Well what and end to the show! Would have liked it a tiny bit more if Lauren won but since she did I am super stocked for Scotty. and country music.




So whats next for Reality with Reyn? do you think its over for the summer? NOPE! SYTYCD STARTS TONIGHT and I will start writing about the Voice after the battle rounds are over.

So I will start of this post by saying that Lady Gaga cracks me up and I gained more respect from her tonight.

First round!

James- He sang Don't Stop Believing. Finally our old James is back, this was really good and a stellar performance. He is in it to win it but I didn't feel that extra drive looking back with this song. I didn't feel the emotion/inspiration.

Haley- She sang Earth Song. Bad choice of song, I guess she sounded kind of okay, I didn't think she was exactly screaming. I felt that she really loved the song though...which...I mean I don't know what to say about that I don't see why you'd love it that much. Not her best performance but I wouldn't say it was her worst. Randy really dogged on her, and not in the good way. I really think he went over board and I am glad she stood up for herself. I respect what JLO said to her but I feel like Randy dogs on Haley a lot more then what she deserves so I am glad she said something.

Scotty- Sang Where were you (when the world stopped turning). I like it, he sounded great! Scotty is a star. I didn't feel that star quality he usually has but it was was all around amazing. It may just be because there are so few left that he doesn't stand out as much as he use to because they all stand out in their own ways.

Lauren- She sang Anyway. I loved this performance and I think Lauren really got back that star quality she was lacking in the past few weeks. It was perfect for all that is going on in the south and a great song for her.

GAGA was their mentor and I think she brought out the best in them because I think round 2 was way better.

Haley- She sang I (Who have nothing). Haley had nothing going for her this episode until she sang this song I thought it was really good! It really sucks that Haley isn't able to make 2 good song choices in one week, though I guess towards the beginning she couldn't even make one good choice so she has improved.

Scotty- He sang Young Blood, I had fun with it. I liked that he held his microphone the correct way most of the time. I liked it but I don't think it was Scottys best performance but it was really good.

Lauren- She sang Trouble and this is the most fun I think Lauren has had in a long time. During Hollywood she seemed like one of the more fun contestants but as the weeks went on she never really did to much fun on stage.

James- He sang Love Potion No. 9. Now this is the something James was missing in his first performance. He backed his great voice up with the fire it needed! amazing!!!

Predictions:

I think Scotty should probably go home after tonight but it will probably be Haley and Lauren in the bottom two, with Haley going home.

I would like James to go home this week only because I think he'd follow in Daughtrys footsteps nicely. I don't think he needs to win because it would probably just damper his career.

I'd like Haley to stay because I feel like the producers HATE her. So many people HATE her. But as a loyal Haley fan I love her. But I am still Lauren for the win!!

First Timer

Okay so I'll do a quick recap of last night and tonight.

James- First song he sang Closer to the Edge. I didn't really like it, it didn't catch my attention and I didn't think it was that good. Then he sang Without You, this was ALOT better but it still wasn't James A-game. It wasn't the best version of that song by any means. He isn't one of those people who can cry and sing.

Jacob-sucked. Glad hes gone. Not wasting my time on him.

Lauren- First song was Flat on the Floor. It was amazing! She nailed it!! I loved it Lauren has got her groove back. Her second song was Unchained Melody. I liked it but wish she would have gone for that high note which I swear was there (Iovine confirmed that she didn't go for it like I thought).

Scotty- Gone was his first song and it was fun and great. His next song was Always on my Mind, it was good except the chorus was kind of a let down.

Haley- Took a risk and Sang an unreleased Gaga song "You and I". Honestly she got Gaga's blessing and yeah it was a risk and wasn't the best song but given the opportunity I would have done it too and I am not really even a gaga fan. Her second song blew everyone out of the water. She sang the House of the Raising Sun. I love Haley and I always have and this is why.

So here was my prediction for bottom 2

On Elimination night They Split them into groups. James and Haley then Jacob and Lauren. Scotty was safe. It was clear Jacob and Lauren would be the bottom three I dont think Lauren should have been in it and I was so worried but am glad she is safe and am glad Jacob is gone.

Scotty dropped a spot because I don't really want him to win. I'd like it to be a girl who wins. Don't get me wrong I love James and Scotty I just think AI needs a girl. Plus James will do way better if he doesn't win just like Daughtry.


On a different note I didn't watch last season but has Lee Dewyze done anything yet? I am starting to think hes worse then Hicks. I did see the finale and though he was good though I must say I have heard Bowersox's cd and think maybe she should have won.

Stupid Storms

I won't be able to give a full review tonight because of the storm the weather man was talking during some performances.

Jacob was boring, I wish the weatherman was talking during his. he needs to go home.

Lauren did so good! I loved it, I felt like I was watching a first dating when she was sitting with that boy.

Haley and Casey Duet-clearly doing it. Casey is smitten like an ity bity kitten. I love the two of them together they sound so good together, they should just quit the soloness and be a duet because they are amazing together, and they clearly have chemistry.

Scotty did good, back to old scotty. He seemed to struggle a little almost but i really liked it. I am glad he and lauren did good.

James probably did good, the judges sounded like he did good, we didn't get to hear him sing here.

Casey did really good, but honestly if he didn't then he shouldn't have been on the show because this week is right up his ally.

Haley did amazing great song choice.

Jacob and James were better then I thought they'd be.

Lauren and Scotty also did good, I actually fast fowarded through it as first ha.

Quick Post (Edited to write about the shows)

Okay so I will write about what I thought about both shows here just a quick update. I am not going to talk about what the judges said, I didn't take notes and even thought I have re watched them sing I don't feel like listening to there comments, or Ryans. I will say that the contestants talking about each other was hilarious.

Performance Night

Scotty sang swingin, it was good but at this stage in the competition he really does need to pick a better song choice. It was enjoyable but he is lucky he went first because if they put him towards the end or even in the middle it probably would have been boring.

James sang Uprising and I was wowed. He is a performer and I felt like I was at a concert. I wish he would have made it a little more "creepy" because when I think of the song it just has a creepy feel to it. But I loved it and I think James is a contender this season

Haley sang Rolling in The Deep, this is one of my favorite songs and I think Haley did great. I love the quality of her voice. It was a great song and if that's the kind of music she wants to sing when this is over them I'm behind her 100%

Should I write about Jacob? Because when I think of the contestants I honestly forget him. He sang Dance with my Father. It wasn't bad but wasn't amazing. Jacob is an amazing singer but his song choices may be the worst choices on the show. I found Thia and Pia to have more interesting choices. If they let someone else choose his songs he'd probably be doing a lot better.

Casey sang Harder to Breathe. He did good but I like him better singing more jazz or bluesy music. I didn't want to talk about the kiss, but I got to. It was clear that you could see that coming when she turned her cheek. Honestly if I was JLO I would have backed off because Casey was all up in her grill and I am glad he kissed her cheek because if he didn't that would have been 100% awkward lol.

Stefano sang Closer. Now I like Stefano singing more Pop music, its suits him and I actually found this pretty good, partially because he wasn't singing the whole time.

Lauren sang Born to Fly and I loved it, but she needs to pick better songs! She is one of the best singers in this competition and in my opinion I say she is the best so she needs to go big. A whole decade and she chooses that song!!! Still good but really?


Oh and I forgot to mention the eliminated Idols did AMAZING! I thought it was better then all the group performances results night lol. I really miss them and think that American Probably made 1 or 2 mistakes.

Results night kind of went as I planned. So I am not going to talk about it. I'll Give you my favorites list

Paul Mcdonald has a farm, e i e i o.

So the results happened and I think the question on everyone mind was "will we have another shocking result?" or "will we loose another girl?"

Well before we could find out we had to watch the contestants perform. Lauren and Scotty did good and sang American Honey. Casey and Haley sang Moanin, this was the performance of the night! First of all Haley may have had her best vocal of the season sucks that it was on a results show and not a performance show. Then everyone else sang a Simon and Garfunkel melody, which was kind of boring.

And I was right bottom 3 were Paul, Stefano and Haley. Bottom 2 were Paul and Stefano, and Paul went home.

Surprisingly I didn't care that Stefano was safe, he finally had a good performance he might as well be rewarded for it.

Rihanna performed some stupid song somewhere in the mix of all of that...it was lame. Kelly Clarkson and Jason Aldean performed and it was pretty good.

Give Metal A Chance

Once again typing this live. Seeing Pia go home again and JLO be all sad was heart breaking, but it happens and I'd like to apologize to my readers because I may have over reacted a bit. I didn't really cover the hole elimination show just Pia going home.

Oh and as of today Jennifer is the most beautiful girl in the world, and I agree.

Music form the movies!!! This sounds like a great theme.

Paul is opening the show with Old Time Rock and Roll. This seems to go well with him. I love that Will-I-am is back he cracks my shit up. He should have came in sliding. It was okay, I expected more. Let me just say I was WAY more entertained by his sax player. She was great.

Lauren is up second and will be taking on Miley Cyrus. The Climb?!?!? boo I was hoping she would do the song from the last song I like that song lol. Lol They are telling her to snatch up Pia's fans lmao. I hope she invited them with little cupcakes.I thought she did really really good. I was surprised she made me love that song! Way better then Miley. But how will singing that song instead of a classic iconic movie song fair for her? I hope it works well.

Stefano, I hope he doesn't "bounce" back. We are interviewing Stefano again? Have we not seen enough of him....and his mom......and his dad. He should have gone home last week and I think he knows that. He clearly is like a defeated puppy. Jimmy, you honestly don't believe he can win right? because he can't. It will ruin Idol. I admit I was not of Hicks fan but I could admit Taylor Hicks was a good singer. I must say this wasn't that bad. I have said it before and I will say it again, Stefano belongs in a boy band. Did JLO say a dirty word? It bleeped her on my tv lol.

Scotty singing I cross my Heart. Has anyone else notices either his head or microphone are always turned sideways? Everyones got there little quirks I guess. No JLO we want you to be tuff on stefano. I agree though it wasn't my song choice for him but he did great, as always. He is going to be a great country artist one day. "a star is born on this stage" as Randy said.

Casey singing Nature Boy by Nat King Cole, I wish he would've sang coming in the air tonight. Did it work for him? I loved the classic feeling of it, with the white instruments. I am going to say this wasn't my favorite Casey performance, he sounded kind of off to me. Its almost like some notes didn't get hit right. I'm sure the recorded version would be really good. Not sure if america will "get" it.

Haley is singing a Blondie song. She is singing Call Me, a good choice n my opinion. oh coarse Randy ALWAYS bashes Haley. I thought it was really good. But honestly the judges and all the teen girls don't want a girl to win. I do agree with JLo though we need to vote for these girls and keep them in a little longer. and I agree this was not as good as the last two weeks which haley blew out of the water.

Jacob is singing Bridge over Troubled water. Does this remind anyone else of season 2? Okay I didn't watch season 2 but I am pretty sure some one sang this, maybe the top 3? That was amazing! That last note?!? WOW it was incedible. done.

James is singing Heavy Metal. I like him more and more every week ha. I don't think there should be a guitar solo on american idol, unless the Idol is playing guitar. I loved this thought! Give metal a chance!!

I am doing something different today, I will be blogging while watching Idol, that way yall get my first thoughts and reactions.

ahh Rock night what a relief. The beginning was pretty funny, Steven Tyler cracks me shit up every week. Why is Will-I-Am mentoring? he isn't a rocker. But what ever

Jacob is up first, he is singing "Man in the Mirror" by Michael Jackson but honestly I wish he would have kept his song as "Let's Get it On".  The beginning was really bad, I think he had something wrong with his ear piece and it screwed him up in the beginning but he got back into his grove. It wasn't my favorite Jacob performance and it seems like Jacob has lost some confidence but he did good.

Haley sang second tonight, she is finally giving the judges what they want and she sang Janice! She sang Piece of my Heart, I really loved it and think is was the best version of that song ever sang on this show. JLO told her that she was a contender and for the second week in a row Randy liked her and Steven "couldn't find nothing wrong about that". I am really proud of Haley she has grown a lot and got better and better. And that darn Will-i-am who pissed her off ;)

Casey was going to sing "Every little thing she does is magic" then changed it to "Have you ever seen the rain" at first I was unhappy with him leaving the first song but I think both are good. I thought it was good I wish he just put a little bit more energy in it. I didn't like his little growl he through in there, idk if the grow he has he caught from Haley but he shouldn't do it again. I wouldn't consider playing the bass as revolutionary but that's just me.

Lauren is singing "Natural Woman". Shes making this C-O-N-T-R-O-U-L as Will-i-am put it. Let me just say Lauren looks great for a 16 year old. She looks mature but youthful at the same time. Her voice sounded really pure, it was almost effortless. I loved it, was good but it wasn't Kelly Clarkson. I love Lauren though and I hope she follows in Kellys footsteps and wins.

James, the seasons rocker, singing "While my Guitar Gently Weeps" I am kind of shocked that he changed it up. Let me first say his momma forgot to tape his ears back as a child, I thought if he started flapping those things he would have lifted into flight. I really liked it, and I think he picked a good song, he has shown us he can do rock n roll and now he's showing us his emotional sign and it really worked.

Scotty is singing Elvis' "That's all Right Mama". I am glad Scotty is singing Elvis. I really like this performance, it made me smile it was really good. That was my favorite performance tonight so far. It was fun, it was good and it was a winning performance. JLO feels flavor in him haha.

Pia kept her promise and is singing "River Deep Mountain High" I am so glad Pia is showing her performer side and not her ballad side. This is just what we needed to fall back in love with Pia. It was really really good. Pia has been holding out on us! Pia is back in this race! That last note WOW!!! so Great. This is a competition.

Stefano....here comes the most boring part of the show. I feel he sings songs that have been done over and over and over again on AI he is singing "When a Man Love a Woman" he thinks its going to be a big week...he has said that every week. I hate his facial expressions when he sings. It wasn't good, idk what JLO was thinking, it kind of picked up towards the end and then that last note was bad. JLO is clearly in love with him or something idk.

Paul got the pimp spot tonight. It was quick and good and speaking of quick and good the judges kept it that was so I will to.

You Keep Singing Like That and You'll be Able to Pay for the Rest of That Dress

Long title I know, it was my Steven Tyler quote of the night. Lets get down to buisness though, I think this was my favorite week yet.

Scotty was up first, I liked him and I think it was my favorite from him so far. Naima was next with her raggae feel. I love that she is a reggae artist but explain to me that fake accent? I hated it and it ruined the song from me, I just didn't like it. Next up was Paul and I liked it I think it was just the right amount Paul with the right amount of Elton. And let me say this, all 3 of these people "talked" during there song and I wasn't sure whether to like it or hate it but I didn't mind it with these three.

Pia, the gorgeous Pia, I really liked it but honeslty I'm getting a little bored, I'm glad she is singing "river deep, mountain high" next week (or so she says) I think if she makes it though and sings that well she'll be back in the race but I feel she fell of the race for the win this week and entered the race for 3rd place.

Stefano did a lot better this week but I still didn't like him and I realized why, he has an accent that I don't like. I don't know how to explain it.

Lauren did amazing tonight! I don't think it was my favorite cover to the song and I was actually hoping either Pia or Haley would do this song but Lauren did do it great. James was next and he also brought the heat, litereally. I wish he would have brought that Adam Lambert/Steven Tyler scream he has more in this song than he did, it would have been a great song to bring it for.

Thia, unlike Randy I really liked Thia's Daniel. It was the right song for her and I think he best song in a while. I don't think she diserves to be at risk. I also don't think she can do up beat, I didn't really like last week but I love her slowed down.

Casey was back from the save and was as cocky as ever, dude your clearly not invincible get over yourself. I thought he started off bad but then he quickly got good, and it was good but I felt like we are still missing the old Casey, the Casey I loved this Casey I am not a fan off. He use to bring it and do his own thing and I think hes lost that.

Jakob was a wow for me. He amazes me everytime but like Pia I am getting a little bored with this big songs hes singing. Don't get me wrong I enjoy them everytime I just would like him to see do a little something different, I don't know what just something different.

My girl Haley had the pimp spot, when I found this out I was expecting a good performance. So far this season last performer has almost always been one of the best for the night so I thought this may be the best thing for Haley, but was worried what if she lets all of us down? WELL SHE DIDN'T!!!! Haley brought her shit!! She wasn't holding back and this was a week to bring your A game and she did! When I first saw Haley I saw something special in her besides her looks, and finally she proved to everyone I am not an idiot. Even Randy loved her and until this week he seemed to be driving Haley's one way ticket home but not I think hes on the Haley-Train, at least for now.
